Proof Jesus Never Produced Offspring

The evil influences of this world which are led and inspired by satan himself would love to instill all the doubt it can concerning Jesus Christ. There have been a myriad of attacks and erroneous statements about Jesus and his life on earth. These attacks have all had the goal of proving that He was not the Son of God and that the facts of His life are not really the proper facts but mere stories which have been made up in order to form a foundation upon which Christianity could exist. Nothing could be farther from the truth!

A number of years ago there was a book and a movie made which had the title:
The DaVinci Code. The book and movie were well written and produced but there is only one thing wrong: It is not true. Many people believed the things said in these productions simply because they were well done and because they were supposedly written by people who knew what they were talking about. It sounded correct. It sounded somewhat logical. But, it was a lie. It was nothing more that another attack upon the Son of God by a worldly system which is led by satan and dedicated to destroying the truth about Jesus and thereby decimating the basic truths upon which Christianity is built. In Canada, one-third of the people believed the DaVinci Code to be correct. This says that they believe it over the Bible which reveals everything we need to know for eternal life in Heaven and a happy, complete and meaningful life here on earth. How tragic that people are so easily led astray. Much damage was done.

Let's look at a few of the things stated by the DaVinci Code and center on one of these things in particular. First, it states that the New Testament is false testimony, p. 345. Over against this lie is the truth spoken by Jesus Himself when He said, "The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." In Matthew 5:18, Jesus also said that not one "jot" or one "tittle" shall pass from the law until it is all fulfilled. That's good enough for me concerning the truth of the scripture and particularly the Gospels. Second, the book also casts doubt on the veracity of the four Gospels that make up the first four books of the New Testament. It says that there were 80 gospels and that the four selected are "not necessarily the most accurate ones." My question is: Who set themselves up as the judge and jury on this issue. Third, the book says that the Council of Nicea, held in the 4th century found that Jesus was divine and that he was not considered divine before the 4th century. The whole New Testament proves that He was divine from His birth to his death and resurrection. No other fact could be more clear that the fact that He was the Divine Son of God and able to save our souls from hell and that He was divine from birth and even before.

But the last thing I want to point out is that this erroneous book says that Jesus was secretly married to Mary Magdalene and that they had a child together. Now, let me share with you the reason that Jesus never produced offspring. In the Bible we find that when Adam sinned in the Garden, he brought sin and thereby death into the world, (Rom. 5:12-210 The reason we are sinners is that we have inherited from Adam the Old Sin Nature; the propensity to sin. It is natural for man to sin because of his inherited nature through his father, not his mother. This sinful nature came through Adam, not Eve. Jesus was both human (his mother's side) and divine (from His Father). He did not inherit the Old Sin Nature from his father since God is perfect in every way. So, Jesus did not have the Old Sin Nature to pass along like all other fathers do. Each of us had a natural father who inherited the propensity to sin from his father and so on. Jesus did not have the Old Sin Nature as it is referred to by theologians and Bible scholars. Man, because of his inherited nature is driven to sin. It is hard for him to resist, (Rom. 7: 15-25). In fact, sin will win our every time unless that person is saved and has the Holy Spirit living inside of him. In fact, the scripture tells us that no one is free from guilt when it says: "For ALL have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Rom. 3:23). There is only one who is not guilty of sin and that is Jesus. That's the reason He could die for us. But, lets go on a little further.

If Jesus had gotten married to Mary Magdalene and had a child by her, then He would not have passed on the Old Sin Nature because he did not inherit it from His Father, God Himself. If he did have a child that person would not have the Old Sin Nature and therefore there would have been someone else on earth without sin and they would have passed the sinless trait inherited from Jesus along to their offspring also. So, He could not have fathered a child by Mary Magdalene or anyone else. Otherwise, we would have sinless people on the earth today. They would be in the lineage of the One who did not have the Old Sin Nature, Jesus Christ. God meant for there to be only One Offering for sin and that person was Jesus Christ and Him alone. His sinless offering would not have been unique if He had produced offspring since they would be sinless also because of not inheriting the Old Sin Nature from their father who would have been Jesus. He is the only unique, sinless Son of God who was the only one who could have satisfied God as an offering for my sins and yours. John 3:16 makes it perfectly clear that Jesus was the only one born that way, sinless and thereby God's accepted sacrifice for the sins of all humanity. I know this article is filled with much doctrine and theology that the average person never studies in depth. Maybe it will inspire people to search out what I have said and they will find for themselves that what I have stated is rooted in scripture and true. Other writings which try to make Jesus less than who He really is cannot stand against the truth of the Bible, God's Word.
